We are a cause-based Rotary eClub, meeting monthly on the 2nd, 4th & 5th Mondays at 7PM CST via Zoom
Our Purpose or C·A·U·S·E
Collaboration, Advocacy & Awareness, Understanding, Support, Education, Encouragement & the Elimination of stigma surrounding suicide prevention, post-vention, brain/mental health & wellness.
You can save a life.
There is no single cause for suicide, you can learn the risk factors and warning signs of mental/brain distress and suicide. You can learn the right questions to ask, offer support, and refer someone who is having suicide thoughts to an appropriate professional.
If you notice someone displaying signs of mental distress or warning signs of suicide - start a conversation. Don't be afraid to ask the question, "Are you thinking about suicide?"
If the answer is "yes," contact the Crisis & Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 988.
Brain Health is Mental Health is Physical Health.
A brain/mental health condition is a physical condition just as diabetes or heart conditions. The brain AFFECTS and is AFFECTED by the chemistry in our body. Diet, sleep, exercise, stress, age, genetics or brain development are just a few factors impacting the brain.
Your brain can be exercised to optimize performance just like we exercise our muscles
and our brains can get better regardless of age.
We encourage all of us to talk about your brain/mental health like you would any other condition, ache or pain in your body.
You matter to us.
As a Rotary eClub we are committed to support suicide loss survivors and break down the stigma associated with suicide.
We encourage you to seek support as you grieve your loved one . As a suicide loss survivor, you may find comfort and hope in a supportive environment with others who have also experienced suicide loss.
If you are navigating your own mental health journey and personal struggles with suicide thoughts. We encourage you to seek help, too.
