These are presentations that provide basic suicide prevention techniques as well as an overview of data and statistics.
Introduction to general specifics for prevention and basic knowledge
American Foundation for Suicide Prevention curriculum with modules for a wide-variety of demographics including children, adolescents, and LGBTQIA+ populations

NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) Ending the Silence is an engaging presentation that helps middle and high school aged youth learn about the warning signs of mental health conditions and what steps to take if you or a loved one are showing symptoms of a mental health condition.
SafeTALK is a half-day alertness workshop that prepares anyone, regardless of experience or training, to become a suicide-alert helper. SafeTALK-trained helpers can recognize these invitations and take action by connecting them with life-saving mental health support.
Just like CPR, QPR is an emergency response to someone in crisis and can save lives. QPR is the most widely taught Gatekeeper training in the world.
It’s estimated that one out of every two people in a given congregation has personally been impacted by suicide. To address the need for suicide prevention education in faith communities, Soul Shop trains faith community leaders on the topic of suicide. Soul Shop will equip participants with the information and guidance they need to facilitate healing within their community.
These trainings are more in depth and advance to the "Gatekeeper" level of skills
Curriculum from the Texas Suicide Prevention Council provides participants with an overview of the basic epidemiology of suicide and suicidal behavior, including risk and protective factors.
Mental Health First Aid is an 8-hour course that gives the skills to help someone who is developing a mental health problem or experienceing a mental health crisis. This class is intended for all people and organizations that make up the fabric of a community. Options:
Advance classes are often longer, and or full or multi-day classes
Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) is a two-day interactive workshop in suicide first aid. ASIST teaches participants to recognize when someone may have thoughts of suicide and work with them to create a plan that will support their immediate safety. The ASIST method helps reduce suicidal feelings in those at risk. To receive certification, participants must attend both days.
Mental health conditions, such as depression or anxiety, are real, common and treatable. These confidential exams are to determine whether you are experiencing symptoms of a mental health condition.
